We have a 4x4, and have been to the beach many times. Last year at low tide beach access was fairly easy. Planning on going on 4/6 or 4/7. Anybody gotten on at the Hwy87 cutoff and able to go 3-4 miles north on the beach this year? If so, how does it look and is there much "traffic".

Been a few times. Traffic seems to vary. There appears to be some survey crews out there last weekend associated with all the work they have been doing.

Have a jeep.. would like to see beach but locked permanently in chastity... would that be a problem

Not at all. I don't think anybody really cares what you are/are not wearing. Just important to be legal. Thongs are what most everybody uses. Ladies are permitted to be topless on all Texas beaches, unless it is posted to the contrary. We have spoken with Fish and Game officers while wife topless and both if us in thongs and we were OK. Just watch the tide swings when going otherwise you could get stranded down there for a while.
