Another Gay Guy here - Can verify that not very much gay action happens at McFadden. I mostly have been there on weekdays between morning and 7pm. I will suggest you check out a good beach I have recently visited twice. . . Bryan Beach State park outside Freeport in Brazoria County(immediately west or southwest of Bryan beach city park which is west or southwest of Quintana Park). Google search says "Permanently Closed" but I saw no signs saying closed and did see a few guys fishing. Lots of firm sand to drive on safely even with only 2WD vehicle. The city park section is maintained and groomed and has garbage cans and porta-potties. There were a few families at the beginning section and no one except me at the far end which I think is about 3 miles from the entrance. The State Park section is more deserted and not as maintained as the city park section, however it is way less polluted than McFadden. I went twice in the last couple of weeks. Once on a Wednesday and then on Monday. I was "sans textile" the whole time both days. Only a couple of guys passed by on their way to an apparent fishing hotspot at the tip of the park where the Brazos River hits the gulf.
