Has anyone came through high island? I was wondering if it is open yet or is it still closed for the beach renovations.

Is it normally warm the first week in April? My wife and I are going to be in Galveston at that time. We would like to visit a secluded nude beach.

Don’t believe they have opened that side yet. Need to go in on Sabine Pass side.

We are heading down later this morning. We will go in from the Sabine pass side. Probably make a trip down about 12 miles or so just to see who all is there. Love to meet up with some folks to visit. Not sure where we will set up but probably will come back to about 4 miles in.

Here's the report from today. You can go in about 4-5 miles from the sabine pass side. There is a fence put up there with beach closed signs and refuge closed signs. We did see the federal game warden patroling about 4-6 pm. We had great day other than that. We met up with Shameless Stinkhorn and they are a very nice couple. Also met a nice guy from Lake Charles.
There was a fairly thick crowd from the entrance for about a mile or so.

The High Island side is still closed. We talked with 2 couples today that tried to go in that way.

From the Sabine side, can you drive past the old pump station to where the old pier used to be? A couple of weeks ago you could.

From the Sabine Pass side, you can only go in about 4-5 miles. There is a new fence and signage kinda right there where the first washout is and those little ponds. It must have been put up in the last couple of weeks because about 3 weeks ago it wasn't there.
