My GF and I are thinking about going to the beach this Memorial Day weekend. Never been. I have a 4x4 and I’m watching the weather. Just wondering how many people we are likely to see. It would be great to meet a few other couples or groups. Will we be nekkid and alone? LOL

You will see all kinds of people from singles to couples and even families. Lots of people fishing and the occasional Game Warden. For the most part, people are pretty friendly, so stop and talk and if the vibe is right, you can sometimes hang out together. Very few people are completely nude as there are a lot of people driving by just to gawk at nudists but a few of us do go completely nude but we cover up with a g-string, shorts, or a towel when vehicles approach as you never know when it might be a family just cruising up the beach or the Game Warden (who will write you out a ticket if he catches you completely nude). There are small groups sometimes, usually later in the day/evening, gather to hang out and cook out.

Thinking of going down Saturday by myself. Wife is visiting her mother. Would love to meet a like minded couple or singles. I drive a 250 with affordable Quality signage on the window and tailgate. Wife and I camped Tuesday night.
Lots of fun.

AQ, going down this afternoon and see if it looks like my 2 wheel drive can get down there, if not I will be down by the entrance saturday morning early if you want someone to hang out with. White pickup here also.

Wow, looks like there is going to be lots out on Saturday, can't wait to hit the beach tomorrow, maybe I'll see you guys out there. I keep a look out for a White Truck and a F250 (I assume that's what you meant) out on the beach and whatever Peterparkerpow drives. LOL

I had a great time. Although my girlfriend didn’t come. I ended up driving about 9 miles down before seeing several other nudist. Parked my FJ cruiser and set up my rooftop tent. There was a group of regulars near by who walked over and introduced themselves and I ended up hanging out with them all day and camping out over night. I drove out this morning when the tide was pretty high and there were spots I wasn’t sure I’d get past but the 4x4 did great.

I was also solo and drove the 20 miles from Sea Rim. Left 2ish. Pretty sure that was you I asked about the tent. I was looking at them for my F250 and mentioned my wife was wondering if the floor was solid. Would love to get a look at that tent. Since the one for the 250 is priced at something like $2800. Heck of a view though. I’m Mike by the way, my wife is a Donna. We are thinking about trying to camp Thursday. Hope the tide and weather cooperate. Nice to meet you. Unless someone else had a super bad ass roof tent. Lol |

How far south of sea rim would I need to go to be safe with the family? First time at this beach. we tried to go up from high island but it scared the wife.

Hey, how are you and what do you mean by "safe"? What was it that scared your wife? I have not encountered any unsafe scenarios anytime I have been on the beach. Most everyone is respectful and non-confrontational. There are always a few people that will spoil a good time that others are having but I have not experienced that.
