I have been to Sargent...going to be my goto place from now on. Much nicer and secluded to High Island or Sabine Pass.

How is the driving conditions on the beach? Need 4x4?

It is recommended to have a 4x4. The sand can get very deep in places.

Anyone been to one of these recently? If so, how was it? Matagorda is the far better beach of the two. Been to both many times. |
